Advice on lock workstation notification

Hi all,

We’re implementing an auto lockout policy next week and I was hoping for some advice about what to say (and what instructions to include) in the email.

My current draft:

Subject: Idle PCs will be locked automatically after 10 minutes as of this Friday

As from this Friday morning, after 10 minutes of not using your PC it will lock itself automatically.

To unlock it, you just need to press CTL ALT DEL and enter your password. (You don’t have to remember these two steps as it will prompt you)

This will bring us in line with standard business practices.

PS many of you have already set the auto lock feature on for yourselves previously. Simply turn it off as the company-wide 15 minute setting will suffice now.
