After sleep PC drops off the network.

by nottooshabby . Updated 24 years, 8 months ago

WinNT 4.0 network with several PCs. Win98, WinME, and Workstation4. At first bootup, all PCs log in to the domain fine, and are visible in both the Domain group and the peer-to-peer group listed under network neigborhood.
I am able to access filesin both the Win98 and the Workstation even while they are asleep.
The WinME PC has two NICs, one for the cable modem, the other one for the internal hub. After first bootup, it is accessbile through the network, but after it goes to sleep, it dropsoff the network.

Because the WinME PC has the cable modem, once it drops of the network prevents the other PCs access to the cable modem through the Internet Connection Sharing Adapter.

Winpiconfig does not list the internal NIC, even though the NIC does appear in the device manager with no conflicts.

Any comments appreciated.
