again......rejection letter

Sorry. I'm talking about this site; http://techrepublic.com.com/5100-6314_11-5034848.html?tag=search
which is a sample rejection letter to send applicants who didn't get the job.
I can't open it with Word, notepad or Adobe?

I download it and unzip it but....

I download it and unzip but it gives me the error
"This file is too large for notepad to open, would you like to use Wordpad to read this file?"
If I say "YES", it opens but is all scrambled and such. (unreadable) What other program might open this?

It took a while to open but I got the zip and .doc to open. Here is the text

I wanted to let you know that we will be continuing to look for candidates to fill the role of [job opening]. Even though you have a great deal of experience [mention two or three things about the candidate that were initially interesting or promising], we have decided that, overall, it would not be a good fit.

works fine on my end

I just tried BOTH the download links on the page, they both opened up a Download page then clicking THAT link downloaded the files. Both word AND Adobe opened up just fine.

Have you been able to download but not open them?
