Hi,
I have just upgrade two Win98 machines to Win2000 and have a real headache over the AGP controller. Device Manager reports:
“Intel82443BX Pentium II Processor to AGP controller – failed to start, there are no more free resources available”
This means that the Display adapter, NVidia RIVA 128ZX will not start so everything is in VGA mode!
Now the resource tab show no conflicts and I am unable to change any of the settings.
Removing the device and rebooting doesn’t help. Neither do newdrivers from Intel – the setup prog just says the drivers and o/s do not need updating.
Any help most gratefully received!
Tony Carter
PS The driver file concerned is AGP440.SYS
