Locked

AIM needs to go.

By zentross ·
I've been trying unsuccessfuly to banish AIM from my home for good. The difficulty resides in the fact that I'm still using Windows 98 (no real lockdown ability) while trying to convert the house to linux.

The thing that I would like to do is block the ports or IP addresses that AIM uses. The first appears to round robin until Port 80 is used. Because it appears to use the actual IP address instead of the DNS name, I am unsuccessful in adding oscar.aol.com to my host list and pointing it to the localhost.

Are there any other suggestions that any of you could offer?
