It's the best powerful visual AJAX IDE I've seen before. You can develope your web application in it just like what you do in VB or Delphi based on its powerful AJAX components libs. And it

also support sourceinsight and it's compatible with IE, Firefox.... Above of all, it's unrelevant with server side.

What does AJAX need?

by testdll In reply to AJAX tool

What does AJAX need?

Applications based AJAX need to be sustained by powerful rapid development tools

For now, AJAX has become the most popular topic when we talk about the next generation of web technologies. And most of all the contents are about the concept and how to start with AJAX. If you dig deeply enough to AJAX, you will get a conclusion that AJAX can not be used widely to applications without mature development tools. We list the main causes below:

1, AJAX is not a kind of technology itself. It just combines JavaScript, DHTML, CSS, XML, XSL, JAVA, .NET and PHP together. But it's very difficult to master all technologies above to a single person.

2, Hard to maintain codes. As everyone knows, JavaScript is an over flexible and no standards as well. Without standard library supporting, it's very hard to manage a large mount of JS codes. Even more, I've ever found that JS is all over a web page.

3, Compatibility with different explorers. As you know, firefox has become more and more popular, but it's different with MS I.E. As a result, we must consider to code codes which is compatible with most of explorers. If you want to do this, you must pay more extra time.

4, Low developing efficiency. Without necessary components and developing tools, Coding and debugging are very difficult.

After all, we must solve these problems, so that we can use AJAX in out actual projects, or maybe you will face many problems including developing schedule, software quality and how to maintain...

Here is some advice:

1, Based components

2, Based a good AJAX structure so that we can easily support more application platform, background programming language and explorers.

3, To find a good developing tool based components library. It's very useful to your developing.

I founded an AJAX tool and library at this:

AJAX paridigm shift

by navot.peled In reply to AJAX tool

I would like to draw your attention to an AJAX paradigm shift. One should be aware that I am not, and do not pretend to be objective. Visual WebGui is an open source rapid application development framework for graphic user interfaces of IT web applications. It replaces the obsolete paradigms of ASP.NET which were designed for developing sites, with WinForms methodologies, which were designed for developing applications. Thus enabling designer that was designed for application. This provides the developer with an extremely efficient way to design interfaces using drag and drop instead of hand coding HTML. VWG doesn?t expose logic, data or open services on client requests and therefore is not as vulnerable as common AJAX solution. Worth a look ?
