Alarm Bells

An alarm bell/siren is ringing from my tower on my home pc. Any ideas?

Checked for viruses, tamper switch.

I would advise you check what temperature your system is running at it may be an over heat warning if the temperature is ok i would check where your pc speaker is plugged in to on your main board as it may be in the wrong place. hope this helps

Beyond the temperature, it could also be a power supply voltage out of limits.

You can check what is triggering the alarm by entering BIOS setup, and looking at the PC health page.

Some motherboard manufactures offer utilities to view the PC health status from Windows, or you could install motherboard monitor.
