It all started out with viruses & malware getting on my computer. Then the pc was slow and sluggish. That’s when i knew I had viruses. So i launched my Kspersky 7 Internet Security and scanned the pc. It found 1 virus (tmp.exe it was called) and 3 adware and malwares. Then I restarted the pc and it was still slow.
I then downloaded Spy sweeeper but it didnt find anything. I just let it rest.
Then when i turned it back on later on, it said C:\Windows\system\configure\system was not found. i launched windows xp cd and repairred that. It then said error reading hard disk. i then unplugged the computer and didnt kno what to do. (I just let it chill)Oh yeah somethng I forgot to tell you. My pc was getting very hot & so fast too. I was wondering what it was. I then looked at the back of the power supply and aha! the power supply fan had stopped! I looked all over but couldn’t find any slution so i just use an external fan now (oh yeah this happened before I scanned it of virus) cont….
Back to the story with me leaving it open. i then after an hour of cooling, put it on. It started fine and detected it and started. Then the windows Xp welcome screen came and i heard the startup sound
then it showed my background and nothing else just my background. The only thing i could do was load task manager. No icons no taskbar no nothing. I then with my installation cd of windows, did a repair installation of it still no luck (same background still there). itried safe mode and last good config. and safe mode with networking and nothing was there except a blank black screen with the words safe mode in the corners. So then i did a repair install agn. Still no luck.
Then i had an idea i had a spare hard drive 15gb. i installed windows xp on tht. and thtts the one im typing from now. i can access my other hard drive from this one. So pls help me by telling me whats wrong with the other hard drive (40gb) and how i can repair it from this one(15gb).

i did have like 4-5 power outages when it was slow.
can i run software from this hard drive so it can fix the other one? pls help me do something.
