I want to enable the sound/joystick ports on my Amptron 807 motherboard (Socket A, Award Bios, VIA 8363 chipset, Win98se). I know, I know…everyone wants to disable them, but this is my kid’s computer, and I don’t want to spend the bucks for a sound card. I have the CD that came with the motherboard, but the readme files are horrible, and I have tried to install the sound drivers on the CD, and they seem to install, but Win98 still says I have no audio device. Have spent hours on this problem, and am incredibly frustrated. Help!
