analogX - two NICs configuration

By luie ·
I would just like to know how to configure analogX to use two NICs?
I have a PC w/ 2NICs w/ 192.168.1.1 & 192.168.2.1 IPaddress. 192.168.1.1 connects to another proxy server(in another LAN) while 192.168.2.1 will be used by my LAN (192.168.2.0/255.255.255.0) as the proxy server.
Can this be done in analogX, how?
Thanks in advance.

I used this program about a year ago for about 6 weeks and it was great. I was able to get it working within minutes. It was easy to install and configure. Unless it has changed, it is important to know the popular proxy port #s. i.e Http-80, ftp-21, pop-110, smtp-25. It had a little icon that it sets up by the clock- it is green when working, red when not. If it isn't workiing just turn off all of the proxies except http and start adding them back.

Here is what I found about setting up on the AnalogX site.

Simple, run Proxy on the machine with the internet connection; configure the other machines to use a proxy (it's very easy, there's a detailed description in the readme), and voila! You're surfing the web from any other machine on your network! Supports HTTP (web), HTTPS (secure web), POP3 (recieve mail), SMTP (send mail), NNTP (newsgroups), FTP (file transfer), and Socks4/4a and partial Socks5 (no UDP) protocols! It works great with Internet Explorer, Netscape, AOL, AOL Instant Messenger, Microsoft Messenger, and many more!

I have already setup analogX and it worked but I can only use the 192.168.1.1 as the proxy server setup for the workstations. What I want is to use the 192.168.2.1 as the proxy to my LAN, while the 192.168.1.1 provides the means for the analogX proxy machine to connect to another proxy in another network.

You need to make the nic card in the machine that you want to be the proxy server 192.168.2.1. Analog X looks for that address. If your 192.168.2.1 is the other network then you're gonna have to use the x.x.1.1 or change all the address to x.x.1.xto use that ip address for the proxy.

I've been trying find a way to setup two IP addresses in analogX but *Configure* menu in analogX doesn't include option to setup IPaddress. It seems that it just automatically selects one from the two IP addresses.
Can you tell me how to setup two(2) IP address in analogX?
