Another Corrupt Floppy,,,but

a floppy disk has 2 word files, they can be seen in explorer and also in word/open/file etc.
but then i get a cannot open – file does not exist message.
so files can be seen but not ‘read’
various recovery software cannot help
will not copy to HDD etc as path cannot be found
i guess it is the disk that is corrupt not the files. any ideas on what is cause, and how to recover files? Thanks guys i know you wont let me down.
