Another shlwapi.dll oddity

By Frank K ·
I messed up my only ME machine trying to clear nimda. I started getting "explorer error. reload windows" messages and it pointed to my shlwapi.dll. I did manage to restore my os and saved all data but it won't log onto my network. I put a new nic inand removed all traces of networking, shut the computer down, and upon boot up, loaded the necessary drivers etc as requested by PNP. I can attach to my unix network, I can get my email from the linux server, I have a legitimate ip address issued bymy dhcp server but do not get the logon screen when it boots up. It goes right to the desktop. Any ideas?
