Question

Answering incoming laptop calls from my bluetooth

By karosen6 ·
Tags: Windows
I have tried several bluetooth devices. All the devices pair to the computer easily, however when I receive an incoming call the bluetooth won't answer the phone by clicking the answer button on the device, I can only answer the call by clicking answer on the laptop? How can I fix this so I can answer the call by pressing the bluetooth answer button?

Just my thoughts

A laptop computer is NOT a cell phone and the Bluetooth headset doesn't recognize it as such.

It pairs and you can hear/speak to the caller, just can't engage the incoming call from the device. Is there a Bluetooth device that will connect/engage the incoming call from the device?

Thank you for your reply. I don't need that device as I have a great connection and no price issues. Just need to configure the laptop to allow the Bluetooth device to answer the call.

Since I saw such but only for a specific USB headset and only for Skype. You may think "This should be easy" but most of the time it's something like a patent issue. I hope someone proves me wrong here and points out how to do this.

And then it was only for Skype with a specific custom USB connected headset and never was seen again.

https://www.techrepublic.com/article/how-to-make-and-receive-phone-calls-through-your-windows-10-pc/ and many other articles don't show what you want. That is, make it work like a phone.

Might be a good idea for a kickstarter developer.
