Anti-Virus Tools

By Tom ·
As a field tech it is important to do anti-virus checks prior to working on a machine. Not all machines have anti-virus software installed and not all software is created equal. It would be ideal to have a standalone Anti-virus product on a floppy that a technician could run either from a DOS prompt, or from the run command, etc. My question is: Who makes such a product and which is rated the best?

When I think of Anti-Virus software, two big name came up. Norton and McCafee Anti-Virus software. Look for them at the store or download the shareware from the internet.
Good luck.

Sorry I need a standalone product. All of the big names with the exclusion of IBM Anti-Virus require you to install software on a machine rather than run from a floppy disk.

Again, I am looking for a package that would allow a tech to check a customers machine WITHOUT having to install software on the customers machine. This means being able to run the Anti-Virus from a floppy NOT install it from a floppy.
