From what I've seen and heard, Sophos has a pretty good Linux Antivirus app. I don't use it but they seem to be one of the leaders. I use F-Prot, primarily because their home version is free. I use it in conjunction with MailScanner, which is a Linux spam blocker that utilizes numerous RBL's and any system's antivirus app. My F-Prot updates itself and caught MyDoom just hours after it was out.

i use
- bitdefender console free linux edition
- postfix mail server
- avcheck for incorpating antivirus and mailserver

works fine for me and catches all windows viruses on mail.

We use Vexira Mailarmor from www.centralcommand.com on our Slackware 9.1 mailserver that runs Postfix 2.0.16. It updates every hour and so far it has a perfect record of detecting and eliminating infected emails.

Postfix+MailScanner+Clamav is the best sollution.
