Antivirus Protection Software

By nitobd ·
Hi everyone,

I'm working in a small business office as technician, and we would like to buy or apdate our antivirus software to protect our Network. The thing is, we're looking to buy ones with licencing that have a acessible price. I tried the Symantec Norton Antivirus, but they are asking for about $2300.00 CND for one Server and 50 computers which is very spensive for my company.
There is anyone who have a better adea where I can get a better deal with good Software?
I will really apriciate that.
Thank you.

I generally recommend AVG Antivirus. any time I've removed Norton or MacAffee and installed AVG, I've had rave reviews from the users.

They have a free edition but that is on a per PC basis but updates can be scheduled automatically.

They do have other fully supported versions available though. (Well worth the time to look at, even if you just get yourself a copy)

For a server, I use Inoculate from Computer Associates, but that gets pricey too.

AVG Free edition will give you DESKTOP security that surpasses Norton or MacAffee, especially because it runs without disrupting the system. I'm not too sure what they offer for the server though.

AVG is ok. Try checking out TrendMicro. They can support clients with the PCCillin for single client license at about $49.00 first year and $29.00 ongoing. The server can be setup with a single license. This is about the most economical way I have found to setup Small Business Server and a small office lan.

Good Luck...
