I’m curious to know of success/fail stories of any IT folks who have made a career change. Not just moving from full-time IT to consulting IT, but to perhaps a completely different field. What’s your new field? Do you enjoy it? How did you make the switch? What prompted you to make the switch?
I’m an IT worker who is thankfully still employed, yet very much burned out. I’ve expressed interest in possibly moving to the non-profit sector, but i’m also considering some other ideas. I’d be curious to hear feedback from anyone else who has made a switch or is considering switching careers.
