gcc is very good. It definitely ports to AIX. I'm not sure about NT. Visit http://www.gnu.org. Tons of good freeware is on this site, including gcc. Installing gcc isn't so bad if your base AIX compiler is good enough to install it. If not youwill have to install it native. The link for gcc documentation is http://gcc.gnu.org/onlinedocs.

I install in aix 4.3 gcc-3.0.1.exe
chmod +x gcc-3.0.1.exe
./gcc-3.0.1.exe
smit install_latest -> to get the software installed
export $PATH=$PATH:/usr/local/bin

gmake <--- was not found
Do I still have to compile gcc? please shed some lighton my next step?

I search the online doc for installing gcc in the gnc site, but doesn't have a clue.
