      On of the method that you can try is with the help of AutoRecovery. For this,

      1. Start by opening a new Excel document in Windows PC.

      2. Click File > Tab Recent, check recent used Excel documents and find the exact one – unsaved Excel document.

      3. Click Recover Unsaved Excel Workbooks and then wait till the Excel workbook is recovered.

      4. The Open dialog box will pop up, after which open the exact lost Excel document and click Save As to save the document into a safe spot on PC.

      If MS Excel found a corrupt Excel file then it starts File Recovery mode automatically to repair the file. If it doesn’t start automatically then try this manual method to repair:

      Step 1: First, open Excel file, after opening it click on File then Open.
      Step 2: Press the location and folder that contains the corrupted Excel file.
      Step 3: Now, in the open dialog box, choose the corrupted Excel file.
      Step 4: Now, click on the down arrow just next to the Open button and click on the Open and Repair option in the drop-down menu.
      Step 5: Finally, click on the Repair button to recover lost data.

      1. Open and Repair Excel files

      File Recovery mode automatically opens in a corrupt Excel file. You can repair Excel files manually as below:

      1. Click on the File, and select Open.
      2. Go to the location where the corrupt workbook is present, and select the corrupted worksheet.
      3. Expand the arrow next to Open. Here select Open and Repair.
      4. In order to repair, select Repair.

      If in case manual Repair doesn’t work, then a few other recovery techniques can help you in overcoming the loss of data and files. These recovery methods are listed below:

      1. Recover the data from an open workbook.
      2. Recover by setting calculation option as manual
