Any suggestions for a network appliance that has virus protection and web content filter?

By ptran ·
We have 3 community centers with public access pcs for the public. They're each on their own LAN.

We currently use Cybersitter for the webcontent filter, Trend PCCillin for the virus checker, and Deep Freeze Pro so lock down the pcs.

Could anyone suggest a network appliance that has virus protection and web content filter?

Thanks.

The Sidewinder G2 at www.securecomputing.com is what you might be looking for.

I've deployed a few of these and find that they are well worth the price.

I am not sure how many users you have the one below is for 50-200 users. I like Watchguard Firebox.

This unit also allows for VPN connections between sites or for user connections from home over the internet.

Since you already use Trend Micro, you should consider NeatSuite by Trend. It includes officescan (better than pccillin in a corporate environment) ServerProtect for the servers ans to answer your gateway solution need, it includes IWSS which not only filters all http & ftp for viruses, it has included in the price content filtering, based I believe on surf control.
IWSS could be installed on a member server and clients directed to it via proxy settings.
Neatsuite would give you a more comprehensive, manageable anti virus solution, the cost savings of not needing cybersitter anymore could help off set the cost as well.
