In case you did not get the memo, the waterfall has dried up, and the latest and greatest way to make programmers hate their life is called ‘agile development methodology’.
I admit that I have both ‘change fatigue’ and ‘acronym fatigue’ since I’ve lived through the various ‘revolutions’ around such things as:
– ERP (it’s just accounting software)
– JIT (it’s called “planning”)
– CyberWarfare (it’s just security).
Agile, in a nutshell, means that your development teams now produce tons of ‘micro projects’, kicking out small deliverables like a chipper shredder stuck on full throttle.
Anybody here knee deep in the flotsam and jetsam of ‘going agile’?
