Hi, I have been trying to get AOL 8.0 or 6 to work with ICS in Windows XP and as yet have not been able to accomplish it. I am aware that there is a straightforward process inbuilt in Winxp Pro, but that has not yet worked, I have also tried to configure it manually and still no improvement. I was wondering if the software AOL 8 or 6 has anything to do with it. Also I have the latest version of ZoneAlarm, im wondering if thats blocking any protocols needed for ICS. It is only a 3 pc home network, and its a dial-up connection. The AOL adapter’s properties in My Network Places cannot be opened..therefore cannot be configured for ICS. Please help as this has been bugging me for Months!!
All machines are WinXP. The Client computer’s IE settings is set to Automatically Detect LAN settings..still does not work. Is NAT an issue here as well? what services are needed to be running for this to be successful?
