AOL **** smtp 25

By itscrashedagain ·
Can anyone help? We can't send mail to AOL accounts from our exchange 2003 server. We've read that AOL are blocking smtp traffic on port 25. Is there a way of setting our exchange server so that it can send mail to AOL accounts on smtp port 587? Could we use another virtual smtp server on exchange? Thanks.

sending email to AOL

Changing the port number for SMTP delivery will not help. What you read about port 25 blocking is a different solution for a different problem and does not apply to inbound server-server email delivery.

In order to send email to AOL members, your sending server must conform to certain best practices. These are common anti-spam best practices that you should conform to anyway.
