AOL on TCP/IP error

By MJA ·
Have AOL 5.0 and Windows Me on Cable modem and also dial-up (for backup just in case cable is out) Dial up works fine but when I switch to tcp/ip AOL comes up with an error "Windows Networking is not properly configured" I can go Microsoft IE and get out on the internet that way but through AOL.. NG. AOL said to re-install (which I did) and still NG. I have also removed the adapters for AOL and re-installed. Any idea's?

Thanks beforehand for the help.

install 6.0.
it is the first aol software designed from the ground up to work with broadband connections.
caution, your results may vary. most people install 6.0 without problem-but no promises.
me, i recomend it whenever possible for broadband connections.
hope this helps.
