AppleScript

By cmarino442 ·
I would like to make an applescript command that mounts volumes on the desktop. I was able to create this sucessfully. My question is, how do I make a command that states, if no network is available, quit.

The problem that I am running into is when the mac is not connected to the server, it trys to map the volumes, when it doesnt map, it gives me access to edit the applescript.

can anyone help?

Have you tried enclosing your code within a "try" statement? It would look something like this:

try
(YOUR CODE GOES HERE)
on error

end try

Also, you may want the save the executable script as Run Only. When you do this, don't overwritethe uncompiled script (so you can still edit the code).

Hope this helps.

Greetings,

Here is a link to some code called, "AppleScript "idler" script"

It mounts volumes, closes windows, starts Revrdist, etc.

Here is a link to some utilities:

They include one that, "Mounts volumes at startup ....."

(REMOVE SPACES from the pasted URLs)
