Does anyone know of any resource for simple, plain talk, help for ARCserve back-up? I have some simple questions and the user guide and web site are no help. They seem to run me around in circles. It appears that no has written a book on this. Anyideas?

I have similar problems with CA support of this great product. If you have a error #, finding good docs from the web site is a breeze, but for general info, or research it is a pain.
Also, anyone else hate their current licensing. The LIC app causes troubles all the time. In real DR mode, this could be a real problem. IE, can install the app with out contacting CA, but not the changer. Stuff like this drives me mad.
Parent company dictates we use it, but doesn't give us support. I'm one of a two person IT Dept., taking care of 150+ systems. All I want are some simple answers to some simple questions. You know, I just want to know what time it is - don't tell me how to build a clock!!! I see this all the time - for someone like me, a lot of the documentation out there is way over my head and I don't have the time to wade through it all. Just tell me what to click on and let me move on! Thanks for lettingme vent!
Well - we're trying to set up a GFS Rotation and I want to use a two-week rotation, with a full back-up on Fridays, and Diff. ones Mon-Thr. Then save the monthly tape. I can't get an answer about which tape is the monthly one. I can't figure out if it's the last friday of the calandar month OR the 4th friday.
If you're asking for technical help, please be sure to include all your system info, including operating system, model number, and any other specifics related to the problem. Also please exercise your best judgment when posting in the forums--revealing personal information such as your e-mail address, telephone number, and address is not recommended.
