Just an odd question that popped into my head based on something Scummy said.
Being IT pros, we have to deal with security issues. As technology grows, evolves and develops, there are, of course, more and more security issues to cover. Does this aspect of our job(s) create a higher likelihood of us becoming overwhelmed with paranoia at some point?
Or, does it go the other way? Having to learn how to handle security issues makes us less likely to become paranoid since we know to approach things objectively, understand how technology works, and are experienced in “debugging” situations.
