Are there any list server conponent is a

Hi

Here I am looking for a List Server conponent on Exchange. Is there a way to pull the mail IDs from SQL database to make them as a members of specific Data Base. If I am not mistaekn I need one API for this. please let me know.

For the record, the underlying database for Exchange is not SQL so there is no direct SQL query possible.

However, from Exchange Administrator, you can do a Directory Export to a text file and then import the text file into your database.

If you need real-time syncronization of the Exchange database and your other database, it can probably be done but that is beyond my current level of knowledge.

To make things much easier for the export of your user list use the following execuable from the exchange server cd. header.exe otherwise you will end up with loads of extra garbage in the .csv you dump to. The header.exe program must be run on the exchange server and it purpose is to allow you to make your own template of user info such as user name and smtp address. you would then use the directory export in the exchange admin and click on the export file button and drill down to the directory/file where you saved your template. This will save you hours of mundane editing of the user dump.
