Arghhhh…rebuilding a friend’s computer and re-installed World of Warcraft

Had no idea.

The install from DVD took around four hours to install around 7GB of programs, then the program updated itself automatically. The update/patch to version 4 was around 4GB. Even on my fast VDSL line, it took around three hours to download and install the patch.

It’s not like I had to sit there and watch it install, but it took nearly eight hours, start-to-finish, to install ONE program. WoW!

I’ve never played the game, will try it before delivering the system back to my friend.
