Asp.net on UNIX

Currently, ASP.NET (and the .NET Framework) is only supported on Microsoft platforms. However, there are several initiatives underway to build Linux versions of the .NET Framework. One of them is called "Mono" and you can Google it to find out more information.

Currently NET framework [asp.net] is supported in windows, netware, OS2 and linux. once GXA goes live we may expect it in most of IBM systems. If MS adopts unix, then in unix too. other solution is SCO should support .NET.
Technically once we thought clipboard is a big issue until COM because widely used. similarly .NET will enable talking between webservers and ASP.NET with widelist of languages will be common.
