I am trying to do a Microsoft ASR recovery of an HP Blade server (BL20p G2) where both the Windows 2003 server O/S and the data will be on an HP EVA 5000 SAN, the MSL6030 tape library and the SAN are connected via the Fibre HBA card.
The backup software is CA Brightstor 11.1 with the disaster recover solution.
The problem is that the Blade doesn’t have a physical floppy and CD drive, so I am trying to use the iLO virtual drives. It gets to the end of the ASR install of Windows then stops at a DOS prompt because it needs to access the CD drive for Brightstor to continue.
In addition there seems to be a problem configuring the NIC cards, ipconfig reports that there are no cards (despite the fact that there are three) I have downloaded and added the most recent drivers.
