Comment of lines of assembly code

I do not agree with an idea "to comment every line of assembly code". Instead, I propose to write a comment line for some lines, which perform a meaningful operation at high level. For example, I prefer to comment like below.

mov ax, A ; R = A + B -1;
add ax, B ;
dec ax ;
mov R, ax ;
;
