Just replaced my old sound card (creative PCI128) with a Creative Audigy 5.1. I’m a game player when not at work but I now find that most of my games stutter horrendously, getting stuck in sound loops and so forth and displaying 1 frame per couple of seconds. I’ve tried a fresh install but the problem remains. I’ve also moved the sound card to the furthest PCI slot from the AGP slot (under advice from the vendor), still with no effect. Anyone have any suggestions?
