One beep usually indicates a memory problem

Insure that you have the correct memory ,then check the modules to make sure they are seated properly,if you have more than one module, they should be of the same type and speed

Hope this helps

A single beep normally indicates a successful POST in Phoenix, Award, and AMI BIOSes. Your mobo should have one of them.

Check monitor connection(s). Try another monitor. Could be a faulty video card also, POST thinks it's OK but no output.

I had the same problem till i updated my bios to the latest 1006.

Everything smoothed out after that.
