The system was shut down by turning off the main power of the system. So when the system was restarted again, the system went to disk checking for consistency and even though no errors were found, the system goes into a loop of disk checking and does not proceed futher. Am able to view the desktop when operated in the safe mode. What could be the problem and how could it be rectified. I am having a Windows 2000 installed in my PC. Await advice.
