attaching a scanned copy in access 2003

my name is swapna i’m looking for a way to attach a scanned copy to a access database.
is there a way to access the contents in a scanned copy ie is there a way to give conditions based on the values in a scanned copy.Plz help me out i’ll very thankful to u all.
