I scrapped a Dell desktop computer (running Win98) but removed the internal Zip Drive because I have Zip Disks with archived data on them. I am trying to find out how to connect this drive to my laptop. I know they make hardware adapters, but I am a little behind the times on what is available to enable the connection. The zip drive has a power cable (I kept the power supply from the old PC too) and a flat ribbon cable (2 rows-about 40 pins total).
Can anyone guide me as to what I should be looking for in terms of hardware and device drivers if needed. I would really like to be able to connect this device via USB, if possible.
