I thought this would be a good way to post our suggestions for improvements... let's keep it constructive, right?

One thing I think would help a lot: If the present "My Discussions" listing was named "My Posts", and an additional listing was made, "My Discussions", where the discussions posted to are listed. And the discussions should be listed in the verbose form, such as is found in this here listing : http://www.techrepublic.com/search?t=4&o=1&tag=content;forum-selector

I'd like to be able to view more than my last 100 posts

by Slayer_ In reply to Attention Jason Hiner:

I have often found the need to find something I said or someone replied to months later, but can't because the search is still kind of weak and the listing isn't very long.

Also, please add the "All" option the number of posts per page option.

The "All" option

by jasonhiner Moderator In reply to I'd like to be able to vi ...

This is something we really want to add (it's a continual thorn in my side). The problem is that because TR gets so much traffic, if a bunch of people are using the "All" option at the same time (in a thread that gets really popular) then it puts a lot of pressure on our servers and could potentially crash the forums.

In the past, members have told us loud and clear that keeping the site live is more important than adding features, so we've erred on that side of things.

That said, I'm still pushing to get the "All" added as an option. It's got to be there, and it will be. We've just got to figure out how to handle the load on the servers.

I am glad to hear it has not been forgotten

The all problem could be alleviated if the feature of just expanding the post in line is added, rather than a page reload each time.
