How do I reinstall my audio output device I am running windows vista premium

There are two ways:
1. Go into the "bios" and set the "sound device" to "enable". (This is for onboard sound) If you have a sound card placed into a slot on your motherboard then select "Disable" in the "bios".
2. Depending on your sound card/system, your Windows dvd/cd rom might have the sound drivers for the system, open the Windows dvd/cd and look for "sound card drivers" and (if possible) click on the "install" button, or go to your sound card manufacturers web site for update sound drivers, I:E, http//www.creative.com. Hope this helps you.
