Please help me…I need to run a small application that will audit each node on my network (less than 100 nodes in all) in order to find out what hardware and software is installed on that node. I am concerned about software licensing issues and want to use a product that is easy to use and understand that will help me achieve this goal. If you know of a straight-forward shareware or freeware application that will serve this purpose please let me know. I do not know what I wish to audit, so I do not know what files to look for on each node. Basically I want a complete look at each node in simple terms. If I am not being clear, please let me know.
