Boy Hal you have had a rough spring. We have had a big high over us for a while now, blocking that nasty from leaving auss. Our temps have been mad for this time of year. 27c yesterday with 98% humidity and expected low overnight of 20. thats crazy, but we have rain coming, they say so that may help. The cockys are all moaning and calling drought, But it is dry up the island and the Hawkes bay, out east is a chip. My lawn is dry and that is early for that, usually late jan -feb. I should have homegrowm tomatoes for xmas this year, they love this weather, And the potatoes are good too, had a wee dig down with my hand yesterday in the tyres and felt some nice ones, so I should be able to get a good feed for xmas day, without deturbing the plants too much
We dont get bull kelp much on our west coast beach, it is too rough but we get a lot of other types of kelp with a bit of guts to it and it seems to work good
