Auto Complete-E-Mail Password Question

By cglrcng ·
I can't remember how to get Auto Complete to re-ask to save a password and need to force it to do so. Can someone please steer me in the right direction?

Here is the problem...Wife can remember how to enter her webmail box (username & password), husband doesn't like to type, so he wants auto Complete to remember his, but first time to the page he said no, and it won't ask me again no matter how many times back to the page re-entering the info I can't get it to ask to remember the password so he can just type a letter or 2 of the username, get the drop down and choose it and have auto complete fill in the password each trip to his webmail box.

Even shutting off Auto Complete and restarting the computer, resetting Auto Complete and restarting (setting it to remember passwords), didn't do the trick. Does anyone know how to force/get Auto Complete in XP to ask me again to save a password?

Would be much appreciated.

You should be able to turn this on or off in the Internet Options->Content tab under the Personal area. Click on the Auto-Complete button and set the various auto-complete options you want to have.

Tried and it still wouldn't prompt to save passwords back @ that page. Even did the restart, turned it back on, restarted again, still no prompt @ that page, though it would @ another page where password was requested.

Thanx anyway, points awarded.
