Auto Hide Taskbar in W2K for All Users

By dicepro ·
We are starting to roll out W2K Professional machines to our users. We have implemented some basic policies including disabling the right-click function.

My problem is this: How can I setup the machine so that all users have the taskbar hidden by default?

I am looking for the SPECIFIC answer.

Thank you for your time.

Are you looking for a setting that will work for all existing users? Or settings for future accounts being created?

Making a User Template Account will solve the latter... by making a account template, you can pre-set rights, policies (local & group), desktop settings and anything else you want to customize. Then simply 'copy' User Template and change the name to your new User.

In order to change the default for all existing users it will require making changes in the REGISTRY. Use REGEDIT "ONLY" if you are familiar the registry. Sorry but I don't know those particular addresses.

I really need the SPECIFIC registry hack.

Using a default template won't solve the issue.
