Auto passwords in Win98

By planet1 ·
Windows 98 has a password saving feature to auto-fill passwords that I would like to disable and clear in the systems I am in charge of. How do I clear the already "remembered" passwords and how do I disable them entirely?

Thanks

You talking about IE or Windows? For IE the check mark is under Tools, Internet Options, Content tab, and then Autocomplete.

For windows, delete the .pwl files under c:\windows.

In addition to #1 just add this to your autoexec.bat files..
del c:\windows\*.pwl >nul
this will forcea userid and password EVERY time the machine boots regardless of the password selections in control panel.
