Auto refresh in Excel 2003

By tubadenis ·
I have a worksheet that displays the day's events and highlights the events currently happening based on the TIME(). I have also a cell on top that displays the current time with the NOW() function.

How can I set up my sheet to refresh without to have to revert to the F9. I need it to refresh automatically because there won't be someone sitting at the laptop all day just to refresh.

about how to make a User-Defined function "Volatile", which forces recalculation. By default, UDF's are assumed to be non-volatile, but a volatile value [like NOW()] triggers a recalc, if you need it.
