Auto shut down from bugcheck

By nshinners ·
The computer shuts itself down on its own. No screensaver, not hibernation. When brought back up,programs are all closed. Event log reads: Save Dump, Description:The computer has rebooted from a bugcheck. The bugcheck was
0x0000001e (0xc0000005, 0xbd67b44b, 0x00000000, 0x0000120). Microsoft Windows
2000 (v15.2195). A dump was saved in C:\WINNT\Minidump\Mini051904-01.dmp
This happens a few times a day with nothing scheduled. How do I get it to stop?

Something is causing the bugcheck; my first guess would be a driver causing a fault. It could also be a hardware issue.
The Minidump file will contain info that you could use to determine what's going on.
Please read this Technet article on how to debug the Minidump file:
http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=315263
It's a little above the normal troubleshooting process, though, so be prepaired. Debug tools can be a little much.

Good luck.
