I have a network of 400 Windows 2000 desktops all with the same image. I have Automatic Updates set up to automatically download and install the updates at 12 noon daily. This has been set up for about six months and has been working fine. Over the past week I have noticed that there have been a lot of updates (daily) and I had not seem a corresponding number of security notices from Microsoft. I looked at the installation history from the Windows Update site and noticed that KB832483 has been reinstalling itself everyday (1/14, 1/15, 1/21,1/22, 1/23). I checked for updates on the Windows Update site and again it wanted to install KB832483, I allowed the install and re-booted. Again I went to the Windows Update site and it wanted to install KB832483 and the history now shows 2 installs on 1/23 (today). To the best of my knowledge this is happening on all of our desktops. Any ideas?
