Our plant manager recieved a CD with CAD diagrams of some equipment he is planning to purchase. When trying to open the files on the CD from Explorer, the massage “Error loading dialog control file” is returned. When trying to open the files on the CD from within AutoCad 14, the message “This is not a legal file name for AutoCAD. Please choose another file.” is returned. If the files are copied from the CD to the hard drive, there is no problem opening them. When I copied the files from the hard drive onto another CD, the same problems occurred trying to open them from the CD. Can anyone provide a reason for this behavior?
