Had autocad on my WIN98 pc. Put in a new hard drive and fdisked it for FAT32 and installed XP. Autocad will not install while other pgms are compatible. Why?

You do not mention which version of autocad you have...go to this URL for info on compatability of autocad products.

I have AutoCad 2000 it is not compatible with XP I also have 3d studio Max 4. Both programs are made by Autodesk I installed 3D Max and had problems I went to The AutoDesk web site and downloaded a update fixThey have one for 3D Max because it is nolonger in production. So then everything was fine. AutoCad on the other hand. Is still in production and they want You to buy AutoCad 2002. You can Install it on fat32 I have but its no going run on XP. Im sure with all the people out there with
autocad someone will write some kind of a patch.
