Think this a two fold problem.
1) Can not get HP laser jet 5L printers, HP laser jrt 1100 printers to install in the metaframe environment. I understand about 1100, how terminal server do not like the ‘have disk’ feature, and 1100 in not one of theprinters in the defaults folder, but I tired using 4 and a 4 Plus driver instead of 1100 printers, but got a 0x0 protection fault error.
2) Auto Created printers are not leaving when client computers logout of server. And in the description it is giving me the server name… ie, if server is named: ATL_R1, autocreate printer is:
ATL_R1#ATL_R1#Greenfield-Don#HP 11000.
What I have tired:
Have deleted printers through printers folder and in registry edit.. Had users log out and stopped and restarted spooler. Have edited WSUPPNT.inf folder to use 1100 printers 4 drivers. Had users log back in. Same problems. The users who can not print, printers are autocreating now:
#Greenfield#HP 1100
but, they can not print. Getting “not connected to client errors or nothing is going into print que/ coming out printer.
Printers that can print are still auto creating with the server name attached.
